When the LR2 first appeared a few years ago, Compact Sports Utility Vehicles weren't as ubiquitous as they were now, so it was able to find a modest niche in a relatively untapped market. But now CUVs are everywhere, and the LR2, once top-of-the-line, has begun to lag. In 2012, it was Land Rover's worst selling U.S. model, criticized for its weak engine and lackluster design. With the arrival and subsequent popularity of the stylish Evoque, a car specifically designed for showing off around town, the LR2 suddenly seemed dated; the brand's sad, redheaded stepchild. But Land Rover hasn't quite yet given up on the vehicle. For 2013, it's bestowed upon the LR2 some modest design tweaks and, more importantly, a new turbocharged engine, the same one as the Evoque. The car continues to be very capable off-road, though significantly less luxurious than its brand siblings. It remains to be seen if the engine upgrade marks the boost that the LR2 needs in order to return to its (very modest) former glories...
Just imagine yourself in this luxurious car, habba money good o... The official price is approximately $36,600
